My story actually dates back to before my birth – to my grandfather and his two brothers who founded Dean Witter & Co. in 1924.  My father, his brothers, and his cousins were not given a choice about whether to join the firm.  So, when my generation came of age, we were encouraged to try something else.  However, I always felt compelled to be part of the family business, and I began my career with Dean Witter as a Financial Advisor in 1984.  After nearly 35 years with Dean Witter and its successor, Morgan Stanley, I realized that moving my practice to Stifel was the best way to carry on my family's legacy and to provide my clients the service and advice my grandfather believed in.     

I am a native of Huntington Beach, California. Outside of the office, I maintain an active lifestyle, surfing and competing in long-distance open ocean paddling.  My wife, Janine, and I have been married since 1988, and we have three children, Chase, Marisa, and Mason, all of whom are an inspiration and a source of joy.  When not at the beach, with family, or at the office, I usually find myself running around the neighborhood, catering to our two Golden Retrievers, Buckley and Annie.
